One of the things
I've come to appreciate about social media is new friendships...even if we've never met 'in person' I've formed relationships with some interesting people--Brittany Higgins falls into th
at category. Ifirst came to know her after she started following Embrace Activism on Facebook. I was thrilled when she wanted a mat of her own and even more thrilled how she raved about it once she got it! In the testimonial she left on the Embrace Activism Facebook page she noted the mat was the 'comfiest' that she ever used. Brittany also shared the mission/goals of Embrace Activism with classmates in her teacher training class and then sent me photos of her and other yogis/yoginis in different asanas on an Embrace Activism mat. I loved them and appreciated her thoughtfulness! You can see all of those pictures in the Gallery.
Once you step onto your mat your yoga journey begins....taking you places you might not have even thought about. Calming the mind and removing distractions from the mind often leads to bursts of creativity. Brittany certainly is creative! With her new business, Shirtshasana, her creativity is dedicated solely to creating designs relating to yoga and well-being. Find Shirtshasana on Facebook.
For me, the further you travel on your yoga journey the more outward that journey manifests. Brittany and some fellow yoga teachers have started Karma Yogini's. Karma Yogini's meet at various venues to share their yoga teachings with complimentary classes. Check the Karma Yogini's page for their next class!
How are you making a difference with your practice?
